This photo stood out to me because out off 300 plus photos this was the only one that really turned out. It was exciting getting the photo and being able to go back and look at it and really be proud of a photo I took. It reflects what I learned In photo journalism by getting the action and seeing their faces. I was patient with the photos and sat in an area for a log period of time trying to get a good action photo. From the beginning of the term until now I've learned so much. Before starting this class I didn't even know how to use a camera, and now I know what a lot of the parts that go into the camera settings and how to take a good photo.
My Goals
My goals for this class are how to work a camera. Considering I have no skills in camera use, any skills at all would be more than what I know now. I want to also engage with the campus and learn more about what is happening at LBCC. Going around and taking picture will hopefully help me do that. I would also like to get connected with the commuter and get some of my work published in it.
I believe I achieved most of these goals. I started the class with absolutely no idea how to use a camera and now I can execute goos photographs, like the one shown above. In joining this class I did learn more about LBCC, for my photo story I used the LBCC equestrian team, which before the assignment I never knew existed. During the term I did accomplish my last goal of getting published in the Commuter, and I hope to continue this onto the next class news writing and continue to work with the Commuter.
